Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) reveals its first road car, the SCG003S, to the world at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is hand-built in Italy by bespoke manufacturer Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT), using an integral carbon fiber chassis powered by a 4.4-liter twin turbo engine that develops in excess of 800 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque.

The SCG003S has evolved directly from a true race car, the SCG003C, also designed and built by MAT, which has competed in a variety of endurance races including the famous Nürburgring 24 Hours where it won its class.

SCG is a New York-based company founded to develop and race bespoke cars. The S in SCG003S stands for ‘Stradale’ whereas the ‘C’ denotes ‘Competizione’, in homage to the legendary Italian road racers of the 1960s, which were equally at home on the track as on the road.

The SCG003S is set to be the fastest cornering road-legal car in the world. Its advanced aerodynamics will generate net downforce in excess of 700 kg at 250 kph. It generates mechanical grip of more than 2g through corners and its aerodynamic capabilities are similar to those of sports prototypes. The top speed will be in excess of 350 kph, with 0-100kph covered in less than three seconds.

A high degree of personalization will be possible including right-hand drive, bespoke interior fit and finish, and mechanical customization in order to ensure a tailor-made driving experience for every customer.

Also on display at Geneva will be the SCG003CS (Competizione Stradale): a one-off car that was built for the owner of the Scuderia, Jim Glickenhaus, again by MAT. It is an example of the extreme customization that MAT is able to deliver on the SCG003S.

This unique car features light blue suede refined racing style interiors derived from the Nürburgring 24 Hours class-winning SCG003C, and boasts a shade of blue transparent finish on the all-natural carbon fiber bodywork.

A racing rear wing has been fitted and the racing suspension has been given a slight road tuning. The SCG003CS is equipped with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and special Dunlop road tires. This makes it even more extreme and raw than the road car, but provides a graphic demonstration of what is possible at the upper limit of performance.

The SCG003CS carries a valid New York State licence plate and is fully road legal, despite being competition-derived. The all-new SCG003S shares the same sporting DNA and stunning looks, but is also entirely road legal.
